It’s been a while since Sport’s Direct were in the news so it will not surprise regular readers to hear one of their agency staff suppliers has failed to pay backdated minimum wage money owed to employees.

Transline, the agency in question, is late paying thousands of its employees backdated wages from as far back as 2012.  The refusal to pay stems from a TUPE issue where some of their employees were not paid the minimum wage for a two-year period before they transferred to Transline.

However, they were also not paid the correct amount after they transferred. No doubt this will not be the last we hear of this saga.
