At the conservative conference the Chancellor has announced that it will introduce fees to bring a claim before the Employment Tribunal from 2013.  The amount that will be charged and how it should be paid will be the subject of consultation which will start in the next few months.

At present, there are no fees to put in a Tribunal application unlike when you submit a claim to the County Court where fees are payable on issue on a sliding scale according to a claim. This follows on from my blog last week about cutting red tape.

The big quesion is how this is work in practice since it seems like it has administrative burden written all over it to me. You can read the commentary here.
