Good morning and welcome back to your monthly employment law update. A round up of all things employment law in this month’s news. Last month’s update had features on the labour manifesto, some recent IR35 judgments and how EU national employees can apply for settled status. Meanwhile, last week’s case law update concerned trade unions and health and safety dismissals
Last month we mentioned that we would be hosting a seminar in December. Thank you to everyone who expressed interest. Sorry we have not been able to get back to you all. However, we are pleased to announce that PJH Law will be hosting an Employment Law Update on 5 December 2019, at the William Cecil Hotel in Stamford.
The seminar will have sessions on bullying and harassment, – to coincide with the release of Phil’s new book – a look at whether neuroscience can help HR, a round up of the year’s key developments and a forecast of what to expect in 2020, including IR35. The cost of the seminar will be £99.00 plus vat per person with the first 30 guests receiving a discounted offer £75.00 plus vat per ticket.
The first thirty people who book will also receive a goody bag containing a copy of Phil’s first book, A Practical Guide To Redundancy; a copy of his forthcoming book, A Practical Guide to the Law of Bullying and Harassment in the Workplace and a bespoke HR planner for 2020 designed by PJH Law and printed by the Stamford Notebook Company. The value of the goody bag is £90.00 but will be complimentary to the first thirty attendees who book.
The seminar will run from 9.00 am -12.00 pm with guests welcome to come for refreshments, and a chat both before and after the seminar. Following feedback from HR clients and contacts, we have opted for a midweek morning slot.
The William Cecil venue is on the edge of Stamford, just off the A1 and has free parking for all attendees. Breakfast rolls will be available before the session with the option to have either bacon, sausage or egg. Anyone who would like a roll, particularly a vegetarian one, please contact us to confirm your order so enough quantities of each can be guaranteed.
